Q: What do we wear?
A: O I am so glad you asked! First, let’s talk about what you SHOULDN’T wear! Please please please avoid “matchy-matchy”! I know it’s tempting to pull out those crisp white shirts, but nothing is more boring than a family in blue jeans and white shirts. Your clothes should reflect who you are as a family. If you are jeans people, be jeans people. If you are super mom always sporting your heels, then bring em on! Let your colors show! A key thing to remember is coordination is key. I suggest that you pick 2-3 colors and plan your clothing based on these. Don’t be afraid to mix up solids, layers, and patterns and remember… accessories are your friend! So pull at those necklaces, hats, and shoes — let’s capture YOU!
Q: I really want fabulous squishy pictures of my newest addition, when should I schedule?
A: 3-10 days! This is VERY important. After about 10 days your sweet little one will start to discover how fun it is to stretch those little arms and legs. Cute? Yes, but quite challenging when it comes to those squishy little poses. Baby acne also sets in at about 2 weeks, so the earlier we capture that perfect little complexion the better. Newborns will not be accepted after 14 days old. I want to be sure that you get exactly what you want, so please plan ahead. Often times I suggest my mommy-to-be to contact me when she returns from the hospital. All newborn clients receive priority scheduling.
Q: My session is complete, now what?
A: So we’ve spent the day capturing tons of fun images, but what happens next? You should expect a preview on facebook/ the blog within 3 days. Sessions will be edited and mailed out within two weeks. Yep! It really is that easy!
Q: We haven’t had pictures in a while and I have a million trillion questions– what should I do?
A: Email me of course! I am happy to answer any and all of your questions! I’m a mom too and I am fully aware of how stressful pictures can be. Don’t be afraid to make suggestions if you have something on your mind, and when in doubt…ALWAYS feel free to just simply ask.
